Qualification Program
What it takes to Trade Firm Capital
We Don’t Fund Hope. We Fund Process
At Maverick Currencies, we don’t hand out capital to anyone with a few lucky trades. We work with traders who are willing to commit to a professional process—one built around knowledge, structure, and proven execution.
Before you can trade firm capital, you’ll need to complete our Qualification Program. It’s not a test of perfection—it’s a test of preparation. We don’t care if you have flashy profits or a massive following. We care that you can think, plan, and trade like a professional.
That’s why our qualification framework is built on three clear stages:
Plan
Next, you’ll build a complete, personalized trading plan. This isn’t a template or checklist—it’s your trading business plan. You’ll define entry rules, exits, timeframes, risk protocols, and trade management in detail. We’ll review it, challenge it, and make sure it holds up under pressure.
This is the qualification path for serious traders who want to be taken seriously. If that’s you, let’s get started.
Step 1 – Pass the tests
We Don’t Expect You to Know Everything—Just to Learn It
- The first step in qualifying for firm capital is completing our trader education and passing a series of tests designed to ensure you understand our systems, risk controls, and trading expectations. But don’t worry—this isn’t a pass/fail gauntlet. It’s a structured learning process with unlimited retakes and all the resources you need to succeed.
What’s Included:
- Over 300 hours of training videos – Covering everything from technical setups and trading psychology to our capital structure and risk protocols
- Topical knowledge tests – Designed to reinforce what matters most—not trivia, but trader-relevant thinking
- Unlimited retakes – You’re not expected to ace every test the first time. You’re expected to master the material—however long it takes.
- The goal isn’t to weed you out—it’s to build you up. Every trader at Maverick has passed these tests. The only question is how quickly you’re willing to learn, review, and push forward.
Step 2: Develop Detailed Trading Plan
If You Can’t Describe It, You Can’t Trade It
- At Maverick, your trading plan isn’t just a formality—it’s your foundation. Before we fund any trader, we require a detailed, written trading plan that outlines exactly how you approach the market, manage risk, and execute trades. This isn’t about filling out a worksheet. This is your business plan as a trader. It needs to reflect your edge, your structure, and your discipline. We’ll work with you to build it, refine it, and make sure it’s something you can actually follow in live conditions.
What Your Plan Must Include:
- Your preferred markets and timeframes
- Specific entry and exit rules
- Risk management protocols (position sizing, stop losses, drawdown rules)
- How you manage open positions and exits
- Your approach to trade journaling, review, and continuous improvement
- You won’t be building this alone. We offer coaching, plan templates, and feedback loops to help you develop something that’s not just theoretical—but practical and scalable.A good plan doesn’t guarantee profits. But a lack of one guarantees inconsistency. This step ensures you’re operating with structure from day one—and that you have the clarity needed to qualify for live capital.
Step 3 – Prove it
Your Plan Is Only As Good As Your Ability to Follow It
Once your trading plan is approved, you’ll enter the demo phase—where you’ll trade in live market conditions using a simulated account that mirrors real execution. This step isn’t about performance alone. It’s about discipline, consistency, and alignment with your plan.
We’re not looking for big wins. We’re looking for repeatable process. Every demo account is reviewed by our team to ensure that you’re following your own rules, managing risk properly, and avoiding destructive habits.
What We Track in the Demo Phase:
- Are you taking trades that match your plan?
- Are you honoring your stops and position sizing rules?
- Are you journaling and reviewing your trades?
- Are your results consistent—even if not perfect?
-
- That depends on how closely you follow your plan. Most traders spend 1–2 months in this phase, but there’s no set timeline. You’ll move on when your results show that you’re ready. This isn’t a game. This is where you prove that you can act like a professional trader before we fund you like one. The more you treat this seriously, the faster you’ll reach live capital.
- Coaching
- Check-ins
5. Coaching & Check-Ins
- You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
- Most traders fail because they try to do everything on their own. At Maverick Currencies, we give you more than a path—we give you a team. From the moment you enter the qualification program, you’ll have access to regular coaching, progress reviews, and support check-ins that help keep you accountable and improving.
- We don’t wait for you to fail before we step in. We monitor your progress, flag issues early, and help you course-correct before small mistakes become big ones.
How We Support You During Qualification:
- Scheduled check-inswith your orientation specialist and coaching staff
- Detailed feedback on your trading plan, test results, and journal entries
- Live sessions where you can ask questions and refine your strategy
- Progress tracking so you know exactly where you stand at every step
- Coaching availability to help with psychology, risk, or plan revisions
-
- You’re never just a number at Maverick. Whether you’re stuck, coasting, or gaining momentum—we’ll meet you where you are, and push you forward with real-time, personal support.
Approval for Capital Sharing
- You’ve Built It. You’ve Proven It. Now You’re Ready to Be Funded
- Once you’ve completed the qualification program—passed the tests, submitted a solid trading plan, and demonstrated consistency in your demo trading—you’ll be reviewed for live funding. This isn’t a surprise evaluation. You’ll know exactly where you stand, and your final review will be based on one thing only: your ability to follow your plan and manage risk in a structured environment.
What We Look For Before Approving Funding:
- Trades match your stated entry/exit rules
- Risk per trade is within your plan’s parameters
- You’ve stayed within drawdown and exposure limits
- You’ve demonstrated discipline, not just results
- You’ve engaged with feedback, coaching, and the firm’s process
- If you’ve done the work, the evaluation is straightforward. You’ll be approved to trade firm capital with a Level 1 allocation—and begin your journey as a funded professional within Maverick Currencies.
